In economics we study the behaviour of people pertaining to the choices they make by considering their preferences and what they can afford- the budget constraint. For a person's preferences to be considered 'well-behaved', one of the conditions they need to satisfy is non-satiation, which means that you always want more of the good, whatever it may be. More is better. Bigger is better.
In real life, non-satiation might not be practical or desirable (i.e. more pollution is not better) but in most cases, (and i'm speaking emotionally here) people (read: I) just can't get enough. There's just not enough time, space, money, ice cream, monkeys, sunshine, clouds, rain, snow, motivation, will power, squishy hugs, trips to Brighton, James Morrison songs........
... you to satisfy me.
Time to get out of this funk and start on the dishes. The house is starting to stink of last night's dinner (lamb chops).
